Hi and welcome to Domestic Kittens.
This is me:
I am Kat. I am the designer, seamstress and chief swearer at the sewing machine around these parts.
Domestic Kittens was born shortly after my first child, Caoimhe. I, as most creatives often do, had an ambition to make a lot of the accessories (and clothing but the less said about that the better) she would require throughout life and as such a to do list as long as my arm. That's why it took me until she was 4 months old to make, what would turn out to be, the prototype for the Kittens Car Seat Wrap. On the first day I used the wrap I took Caoimhe along to her Daisy Wrigglers class and my fellow mums were ooh-ing and aah-ing over it. After rather a lot of encouragement from my mum friends, I decided to launch Domestic Kittens!
Since then, we have added another little kitten to our ranks, baby Lawrence and Caoimhe has far outgrown that first prototype!
Now, with 2 ickle kiddos the aforementioned "to-do list" of projects for them is getting longer by the day and is not helped by my never ending thirst for learning new techniques and my creativity taking me in different directions. Nevertheless, the Car Seat Wrap is my "baby" and forever will be but this thirst for knowledge will only serve to bring you, my customers, wonderful new things for your own little kittens.
