Welcome to Domestic Kittens

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Domestic Kittens. I hope you are acquainting yourself with everything we have to offer. 

My name is Kat - I am the owner, maker, creator, hugger, ouch-y kisser around these parts.

I started Domestic Kittens nearly 4 years ago now after the birth of my daughter Caoimhe. I made her a car seat wrap which everyone at my baby class seemed to love. With a bit of encouragement from my baby mama friends at the time (besties now ;-)) I decided to take the leap and start selling my signature Domestic Kittens Car Seat Wrap. 

As Caoimhe developed, so did our range and we added the Pram Muff, Changing Clutch and Stay Put Blanket. 

I was no stranger to the "craft, handmade" scene, as I have been sewing for close to 15 years and selling my handmade items for many of those. I have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. This means that whilst I started out making bags, once I had mastered that, I wanted to try something new and repeat ad infinitum. 

I am still the same now as I wanted to master making clothing, particularly with stretch fabrics. This year will finally see that vision come to fruition with the launch of the Domestic Kittens Boutique range which will not only be for the littles but for Mammy and Daddy too. 

I am so excited to bring this range to you all.

Since our inception, not only have we seen changes to the business but also at home. 2 years ago we added a wee brother for Caoimhe, "wee" Lawrence (absolutely nothing wee about him since his days in the womb!). 

Along with my husband Craig, we all moved house at the end of 2020 into a bigger home complete with back garden and my very own studio! It has been a long time coming and I have to say, it is everything I ever hoped it would be. One day very soon, once it is all tidy and how I want it, I will show you around.
